It's a sad time for the Celtics ---
the fans are all distraught.
You know, it's a shame,
for they REALLY should have been taught!
It's been drilled into Chicagoans
from the bassinet . . .
You must stick with your team
win, lose or set!
Fair weather fans are fickle ---
they just don't know the score.
Though your team may lose time and again,
you CANNOT close the door!
For, as die-hard CUB fans,
we all KNOW, dear . . .
That as the saying goes,
"There's always NEXT year!"
