    As you may know, in Greek mythology, Ambrosia was the nectar only the gods
    in Olympus were allowed to taste. This is near enough to my taste,
    specially as I remeber how it tasted when my grandmother made it and we
    poached on the cooling plate... Old times when cholesterol wasn't given a
    thought.


    List of Ingredients


    • 750 grams sugar
    • 7 eggs
    • 2 egg whites
    • teaspoon vanilla essence
    • 3 spoonfuls lemon juice
    • 1 cup whole milk


    Instructions


    1. Make a syrup with the sugar some vanilla extract drops and 2 cups of water.


    2. Apart beat the eggs and egg whites with the milk, add to the syrup and cook
      over low heat, stirring all the time until it turns into a liquid granular
      mass.
    3. Add the lemon juice and cook a little more until it thickens as much
      as you like it.
