    French Onion Soup

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 cups thinly sliced onions
    • 2 tbs butter
    • Beef stock (can be made using beef base or can be bought in a can)
    • dash salt
    • dash of pepper
    • mozzerella or provolone cheese
    • 1-1 1/2 in thick French Bread slices


    Instructions


    1. In pan saute onions and butter until soft and brown,Add the beef stock and season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer until onions are tender (about 30-45 minutes on low heat) Place in heat proff bowl and add the french bread. Sprinkle with cheese (I use whole slices of provolone or mozz.it is easier) and place under broiler until cheese is lightly browned and melted. Be careful it will be very hot! Serve and enjoy!
