Triple Chocolate Parfaits

This creamy and crunchy dessert will satisfy the biggest chocolate craving!
Ingredients
2/3 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2-1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 cups milk
1 large egg
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
8 (1/2-inch) slices packaged chocolate or marbled pound cake
1-1/4 cups "M&M's"® Milk Chocolate Mini Baking Bits, divided
2 cups thawed frozen nondairy whipped topping
In medium saucepan combine sugar, cocoa powder and cornstarch; stir in milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring often, until mixture comes to a boil. Boil 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. In small bowl beat egg lightly; stir in 1/2 cup hot milk mixture. Stir egg mixture into hot milk mixture in saucepan. Cook over medium heat 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in butter and vanilla. Let pudding cool 15 minutes; stirring occasionally. Just before serving, cut cake into cubes. Divide half of cake cubes among 8 (8-ounce) parfait glasses. Evenly layer half of pudding, 1/2 cup "M&M's"® Milk Chocolate Mini Baking Bits and 1 cup whipped topping. Repeat layers. Decorate with remaining 1/4 cup "M&M's"® Milk Chocolate Mini Baking Bits. Serve immediately.
Tip If you're short on time, prepare 2 packages (4-serving size each) instant chocolate pudding instead of making this stove-top version. Then assemble the parfaits as directed.
