Barbecued Peanuts
Makes about 4 cups
Ingredients
1/4 cup barbecue sauce
2 tablespoons butter, melted
3/4 teaspoon garlic salt
1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper*
1 jar (16 ounces) dry roasted lightly salted peanuts
*For spicy Barbecued Peanuts, increase ground red pepper to 1/4 teaspoon.
1. Preheat oven to 325°F. Grease 13×9-inch baking pan; set aside.
2. Whisk barbecue sauce, melted butter, garlic salt and pepper in medium bowl with wire whisk until well blended. Add peanuts; toss until evenly coated. Spread peanuts in single layer in prepared pan.
3. Bake 20 to 22 minutes or until peanuts are glazed, stirring occasionally. Cool completely in pan on wire rack, stirring occasionally to prevent peanuts from sticking together.
4. Spoon into clean, dry decorative tin; cover. Store tightly covered at room temperature up to 2 weeks
