Pecan Toffee Bars

- butter - 1/2 cup
- brown sugar - 1 cup firmly packed
- pecans - 1 cup, chopped
- graham crackers - approximately 12-15 whole crackers
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350
- Lay graham crackers on a 9" x 11" or 11" x 13" pan.
- The pan must have sides (1/2" tall sides recommended).
- Graham crackers must fill enter sheet - use broken pieces to fill the gaps.
- Put butter and brown sugar in saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Boil for exactly two minutes stirring often. The butter and sugar should be completely mixed.
- Remove from heat. Stir in pecans.
- Pour over graham crackers - may spread mixture to cover all graham crackers.
- Bake in oven for about 10 minutes.
- Let cool for 5-10 minutes.
- Cut graham crackers into 8 pieces (imagine where the lines are on the graham crackers dividing them into little rectangles).
- Let cool until room temperature.
- They are now ready to serve or to freeze. They keep extremely well in the freezer and don't take long to thaw.
