GOOD Ole Salmon Stew,Nannys way

Recipe Introduction
This Salmon stew is a hit EVERYTIME I fix it because its more than a can of Salmon with some type liquid. Do try once please,YOU WILL COME BACJ FOR MORE....I PROMISE
List of Ingredients
- Two tall cans of Good brand of Pink Salmon
- 4 lbs of potatoes (Irish tater)
- 4 lbs . of bacon,cut up in pieces
- 2 or 3 hard boiled eggs
- 1 quart sweet milk(like one uses with cereal)
- 1/2 stick margarine
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- First after opening the Salmon,drain and remove all bones and dark skin
- Put the salmon into a large Two quart pot add 1 cup water,the salt and pepper .Let simmer on low while you fry out the bacon and taters.
- Start with the bacon ,cut into small pieces ,.Add the bacon to the pot let simmer while frying the potatoes ,goldenfry golden and drain on towel
- Drain the potatoes on towel add to pot.May need little more water .Simmer for say 8-10 mins.
- When all has been added and simmered for a little while now slowly add the eggs,that are diced and slowly add the quart of drinking milk
- Now add the 1/2 stick of margarine and stir,letting the margarine melt. Heat well BUT DO NOT let mixture come to a hard boil.More milk maybe added for thinner ssssstew. I add about 1 tsp. Hot Sauce to pot but this is optional to taste.
