    Gelatin Gum Drops

    List of Ingredients


    • 3/4 cup cold water
    • 4 envelopes of unflavoured gelatin
    • 1/8 tsp salt
    • 3/4 cup boiling water
    • 2 1/2 cups sugar
    • 2 envelopes Kool Aid (any flavor)


    Instructions


    1. Put cold water in saucepan and sprinkle in the gelatin, let stand 5 minutes.
    2. Add boiling water, sugar & salt and bring to full boil over low heat, stirring constantly.
    3. Remove from heat and add the kool aid.
    4. Pour into an 8 inch square pan which has been rinsed in cold water.
    5. Let stand at room temperature overnight.
    6. The next morning, prepare a piece of wax paper with sugar on it & with a sharp knife, loosen edges of the candy from the pan.
    7. Dip bottom of the pan in hot water for a few seconds, then turn out the candy onto the sugared paper.
    8. Cut into squares or any small shape and roll generously in sugar.
    9. Let them dry separately before putting them into a candy dish.
