Gelatin Gum Drops

List of Ingredients
- 3/4 cup cold water
- 4 envelopes of unflavoured gelatin
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup boiling water
- 2 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 envelopes Kool Aid (any flavor)
Instructions
- Put cold water in saucepan and sprinkle in the gelatin, let stand 5 minutes.
- Add boiling water, sugar & salt and bring to full boil over low heat, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat and add the kool aid.
- Pour into an 8 inch square pan which has been rinsed in cold water.
- Let stand at room temperature overnight.
- The next morning, prepare a piece of wax paper with sugar on it & with a sharp knife, loosen edges of the candy from the pan.
- Dip bottom of the pan in hot water for a few seconds, then turn out the candy onto the sugared paper.
- Cut into squares or any small shape and roll generously in sugar.
- Let them dry separately before putting them into a candy dish.
