Fried Fish with Cornmeal

- 2 lbs fish fillets
- 1 egg slightly beaten
- 1 cup cornmeal
- cooking oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp milk
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cut fish into 6 serving pieces.
- Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Mix milk and egg in flat bottom dish or bowl.
- Dip fish in egg mixture, then in cornmeal.
- Heat in oil just about 1/8 inch deep in the fry pan.
- Add fish and cook over medium heat turning to brown evenly.
- Reduce heat to low and cook 10 more minutes (until it flakes easily with a fork).
