Makes 6 small servings.
List of Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup soft bread crumbs
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup romano cheese
- 2 tblsp intstant minced onion
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 1/2 tbsp parsley flakes
- 1 tsp dried basil leaves, crushed
- 2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- ..........................Combine in a Bowl..........................................
- 1/2 lb ricotta cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp dry bread crumbs
- 1/4 tsp dried basil leaves
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Brush the inside of a lof pan with oil, sprinkle bottom & sides with dry bread crumbs.
- Mix the first 10 ingredients and pat 1/2 of this meat mixture into the loaf pan.
- Combine the next 5 ingredients in a separate bowl, mix well.
- Spread the cheese mixture over the meat mixture leaving a 1/2" border on all sides.
- Top with remaining meat mixture. Press edges of meat layers together.
- Brush top with oil and bake at 350F for 1 hour.
- Cool for 5 minutes before serving.
