    Recipe Introduction


    Batter keeps up to 8 weeks


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 cups bran
    • 2 cups water
    • 2 cups brown sugar
    • 4 eggs
    • 2 cups vegetable oil
    • 5 teaspoons baking soda
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1 quart buttermilk
    • 5 cups flour
    • 4 cups All Bran cereal
    • 2 cups raisins


    Instructions


    1. Combine bran with water and let soak while mixing other ingredients.
    2. Mix the remainder of the ingredients.
    3. Mix the soaked bran with other mixture.
    4. Let stand at room temperature several hours.
    5. Pour into plastic container, cover and refrigerate.
    6. Bake as required at 350F for 20 minutes.
