Recipe Introduction
For this recipe you may use a can of diced tomatoes in place of the soup. Add mushrooms as an option too!
List of Ingredients
- 1 - 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
- 2 cans tomato paste
- 2 cans Campbell's tomato soup
- 2 cans water
- 4 cans kidney beans (optional)
- 3 tblsp Chili powder ( or to your taste)
- 1 tsp cayenne powder
- 3/4 cup chopped celery (optional)
- 3/4 cup red or green peppers, chopped (optional)
- 3 cloves of garlic, chopped
- 1 tblsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- Saute the garlic in the vegetable oil.
- Add the ground beef and brown.
- Add the tomato soup, tomato paste and water.
- Add kidney beans, celery, and chopped peppers.
- Add spices and bring to a gentle boil over medium heat.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 3 - 4 hours.
Final Comments
If the chili is not hot enough, add some tobasco sauce. Use a dash of white vinegar in your bowl to give a slightly different flavour.
