    Recipe Introduction


    For this recipe you may use a can of diced tomatoes in place of the soup. Add mushrooms as an option too!


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 - 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
    • 2 cans tomato paste
    • 2 cans Campbell's tomato soup
    • 2 cans water
    • 4 cans kidney beans (optional)
    • 3 tblsp Chili powder ( or to your taste)
    • 1 tsp cayenne powder
    • 3/4 cup chopped celery (optional)
    • 3/4 cup red or green peppers, chopped (optional)
    • 3 cloves of garlic, chopped
    • 1 tblsp vegetable oil


    Instructions


    1. Saute the garlic in the vegetable oil.
    2. Add the ground beef and brown.
    3. Add the tomato soup, tomato paste and water.
    4. Add kidney beans, celery, and chopped peppers.
    5. Add spices and bring to a gentle boil over medium heat.
    6. Reduce heat and simmer for 3 - 4 hours.


    Final Comments


    If the chili is not hot enough, add some tobasco sauce. Use a dash of white vinegar in your bowl to give a slightly different flavour.
