Recipe Introduction
a few interesting pasta/sauce recipes from the WW boards
1. I have 1 cup of whole wheat pasta and top it with canned tomato sauce that I spice up. Can add some spray butter if you like. I also added finely chopped carrots and broccoli to the sauce this time. It is a 3 point meal! And a great way to eat lots of veggies!!! Anyone else eat anything like this?
2.i "saute" sweet vidalia onions, chopped zucchini, and red bell pepper and then mix it in with 1/4 cup canned tomato sauce, garlic salt, fresh basil and crushed red pepper flakes and eat it over pasta ... or sometimes just as a side dish. love it :o)
3.I do something similar I sautee an onion in a tsp oil then I add 2 small cans of tomatoe sauce salt pepper and parsley slice of zucchini and broccoli and serve it over pasta or alone as a side dish, I even have it over a baked sweet potato
4.My version is to saute onions, garlic, bell peppers, zucchini and mushrooms. Then add a can of diced tomatoes. Season with Italian seasonings. This is incredibly filling over a cup of pasta and the sauce is 0 points.
