    Makes great bread or cinnamon rolls.



    To make starter:
    1 pkg dry yeast
    3 tb. potato flakes
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. warm water

    Mix together and leave sitting out all day. Then put into refrigerator for 4 days.

    On the 4th day, feed starter:
    3 tb. potato flakes
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. warm water

    Leave at room temp all day. In evening, measure out 1 c. of starter. Put rest in frig to be fed in 4 days. Always feed on the 4th day, taking out 1 cup.

    Sour Dough Bread:

    Mix together:
    1 c. starter
    1/4 c. sugarrr
    1/2 c. cooking oil
    1 1/2 tsp salt
    1 1/2 c. warm water
    8 c. bread flour (or you can use part whole wheat flour)

    Knead 5 min adding more flour to keep from being sticky. Shape into ball and put into large greased bowl. Next morning punch down and shape into 2 large or 3 small loaf pans (well greased). Let rise 4-6 hrs. Bake at 350* for 30-45 min. (check after 30 min). Brush top with butter before removing from pan. In 4 days, starter in frig will be ready to be fed. Always take out 1 c. before feeding.
