    Sue Cossey's Chocolate and Biscuits

    Source of Recipe

having breakfast at Sue's house in Clinton, AR

    Recipe Introduction

I do not have exact measurements. Very delicious.

    List of Ingredients

Sue refers to what I call "chocolate gravy" as merely "Chocolate". Sue mixes cocoa, sugar, flour, vanilla and water and stirring constantly over medium low heat until thickened and cooked. I would say to use the same amount of each ingredient as you would making homemade chocolate pudding.

She makes her biscuits with "WR" brand flour. I would say start out with about 2 cups of flour for one batch. She simply mixes buttermilk into the flour until it reaches a soft sticky consistancy...put onto floured board...kneads until smooth and rolls out thick and cuts...putting into oiled pan and spooning a bit of fat on top...baking until done. They had a great consistancy...like a dinner roll and regular shortening biscuit combined. But, she only uses "WR" flour.
