    1 tsp baking soda
    1 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp cinnamon
    1 tsp nutmeg
    1 tsp ground allspice
    3/4 c. butter, softened (1 1/2 sticks)
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. sour cream
    1 c. apricot preserves
    3 eggs
    1/2 c. chopped pecans

    frosting ingredients:
    1 - 8oz pkg cream cheese, softened
    1/4 c. butter, softened
    1 - 16 oz pkg. powdered sugar
    1/2 c. apriocot preserves

    Recipe

Preheat oven to 350*. Spray 2 9" cake pans with non stick spray. In lg. bowl, sift flour, soda, bk pwdr, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice together 3 times (I'll have to say that I did not do the sifting, but just stirred my dry ingredients together). In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until smooth. Add sour cream and preserves and mix well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each. Fold in dry ingreds and pecans. pour into prepared cake pans. Bake for 20-25 min, or until tooth pick comes out of center clean. Let cakes cool 5 min in pan on wire rack. Remove from pans and cool completely. While cooling, prepare frosting by beating cream cheese and butter together until smooth. Add powdered sugar and beat until smooth. Stir in preserves. Spread frosting between layers and on top and sides of cooled cake layers.
