    Very buttery and moist. But, if not eaten soon, keep in air tight container.

    List of Ingredients





    1 tsp dried lavender buds
    3 c. sugar
    1 ¾ c. ap flour
    3/4 c. + 2 tb. Cocoa
    ½ tsp salt
    ¼ tsp instand coffee powder
    3 sticks unsalted butter
    4 lg eggs
    2 tsp vanilla
    1 c. chopped nuts (opt)

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 325*. Butter 13x9 baking dish. Place the lavender in spice grinder with 1 tb. of sugar. Pulse until finely ground. Transfer to lg. bowl. Add the flour, cocoa, salt, coffee powder and remaining sugar. Mix well. Melt butter in microwave. Cool. Whisk in the eggs and vanilla into butter. Stir mixture into flour mixture. Just stir by hand until combined. Stir in nuts. Pour into prepared pan and smooth top. Bake for 35-45 min. until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean. Makes 24.
