    Recipe Introduction

My hubby loves german chocolate cake, so I found this recipe and decided to make them for his birthday instead. Everyone loved them.

    List of Ingredients

    cookies:
2 boxes of german chocolate cake mix, dry
    4 eggs
    10 tb butter, melted
    coconut pecan frosting:
    1 c. evap milk
    1 c. sugar
    3 egg yolks
    1/2 c. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/3 c. coconut
    1 c. chopped pecans
4 oz choc candy coating, for drizzle

    Recipe

combine cake mix, eggs and melted butter I a large mixing bowl and beat until well mixed. Batter will be sticky and thick. Roll into 1" balls and place on lightly greased cookie sheet, 12 cookies to a sheet. Bake at 350* for 8 min. Do not overcook! Cook on wire rack.
    To make topping:
Add evap milk, sugar, egg yolks, butter and vanilla to a large pan and place on medium heat. Stir to evenly combine and continue stirring until thickened (takes about 12 min). Once thickened, remove from heat and add coconut and pecans. Beat until thick enough to spread. Frost the tops of cooled cookies.
Drizzle with melted candy coating and let set up. (I used choc chips with a 1/2 tsp of shortening to thin to a drizzling consistency).
