Recipe Introduction

My friend, Sheila, and I made these as teenagers. My family loves these, and they are very easy. You can use either crunchy or creamy peanut butter, I prefer to use the crunchy. 1 stick butter
1/3 c. cocoa
1/2 c. milk
2 c. sugar

Mix and stir over medium heat in large pan until boiling, and then cook and stir 1 minute.

Remove from heat. Stir in:
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla (I usually add about 1 tsp.)
3 c. dry cooking oatmeal

Quickly combine completely. Drop by tablespoon onto wax paper. Let cool. Will harden. Store in airtight container, so that they will not dry out (if they last long enough).
