    my version of the recipe that she shared with me

    The recipe is basically to slice up an onion (I put 1/2 a lg onion) and put on bottom of pan or crock. Put a 4# pork roast on the onions. Top with another sliced onion (I used the other 1/2 of a lg onion). Pour 1 cup of gingerale over the top. Cover tightly and cook low and slow until tender enough to shred with two forks. Before shredding, remove onions and meat from pan and pour off juice. Put mean and onions back in pan and shred. Cover with 2 cups of BBQ sauce (I just put 1 cup and tossed and then let everyone put their own sauce on their sandwich) and cover and cook another hour or so. The pork was delicious and moist. Didn't add any salt or pepper and didn't miss it. The recipe is a keeper. Taylor picked out Hawaiian buns to eat it on.
