Apple Cake Bars

List of Ingredients
2 cups granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 cup oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup chopped pecans
2 cups peeled, chopped apples (any variety)
Whipping cream or frozen whipped topping, optional
Recipe
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large mixing bowl at medium speed, mix the sugar, eggs, oil, salt, baking powder, cinnamon and flour until mixed well. With a spatula, stir in the chopped pecans and chopped apples.
Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan. Pour the batter into the greased pan. Bake on middle rack of 350-degree oven for about 45 minutes. Test with a toothpick for doneness. Good served with whipped cream or whipped topping. Serve warm or let cool. Cover with airtight lid when cool.
