MACADAMIA NUT COOKIES

1 cup butter or margarine, softened
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 (3-1/2 oz.) jars macadamia nuts, chopped
2 cups (12 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup (6 oz.) vanilla baking chips
Recipe
In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla; beat on medium speed for 2 minutes. Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture and beat for two minutes. Stir in chips and nuts. Cover and refrigerate several hours or overnight. Drop by tablespoonsful 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on pans for 1 minute before removing to wire racks; cool completely. Yields about 6 dozen.
