Chocolate Cheesecake Brownies

Cheesecake Batter:
1/4 cup sugar
2 Tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon corn starch
3/4 cup cottage cheese sieved
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
Chocolate Batter:
3oz unsweetened chocolate
1/4 cup butter
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup unsifted flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
Recipe
Cheesecake Batter:
Cream butter and sugar together; beat in vanilla. Add cornstarch, cottage cheese, egg and lemon juice. Beat well Set aside until later.
Chocolate Batter:
Melt chocolate and butter over hot water(double boiler); let cool. Beat eggs until thick. Beat in sugar. Stir in chocolate mixture flour, baking powder and salt. Add nuts, vanilla, and almond extract; mix well.
Spread half of chocolate batter in buttered 9" square pan. Pour cheesecake batter on top. Distribute remaining chocolate batter on top of cheesecake batter (do not attempt to cover batter completely) With spoon swirl the two mixtures together.
Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. Cut into squares while still warm. Makes 16 brownies
