Teriyaki Beef
One bite of this and you'll more than likely never want the Chinese restaurant skewered variety ever again. Redolent of garlic and ginger in a fragrant sherry marinade--excuse me while I whip up a batch!!
2 lbs. flank steak
2 cloves garlic, minced
4 slices ginger root, minced
peanut oil
1/2 cup sherry
1-1/2 cups water
1 cup sugar
Cut flank steak into strips across grain. Set aside. Saut� garlic and ginger in oil. Add sherry, water and sugar. Heat until sugar is dissolved. Pour over flank steak and marinate overnight.
Broil for about 5 minutes.
