BASIL AND OREGANO CHICKEN

this is a simple recipe boasting basil and herbs without an overwhelming italian theme. served over vermicelli is the best.
List of Ingredients
4 boneless skinless chicken breast
1/2 stick butter
2 cloves chopped garlic
1 tbl basil leaves
1/2 tbl morton's seasoning blend
1/4 tbl oregano
1/4 tbl thyme
pinch salt
pinch pepper
1 can swanson's beef broth
4 oz philadelphia cream cheese softened
1 jar sliced mushrooms
1/2 cup half & half
4 tbl shredded parmesan cheese
Recipe
saute' chicken breast and garlic in butter until just light brown on both sides. add chicken broth and all herbs: simmer until chicken is almost done. (i rely on the meat thermometer to assure chicken is done but not over cooked.)
remove chicken. mix the half & half and cream cheese until smooth. add mushrooms, parmesan, and chicken. simmer until chicken is done.
serve over hot vermicelli (do not toss the sauce and pasta)
