    This is a recipe that my grandmother used for her pound cake. Make sure to follow directions exactly or the cake won't taste the same. Strange as it may sound the weather seems to have an effect on how the cake turns out as well.

    List of Ingredients




    1 cup Crisco or butter
    2 cups sugar
    2 cups plain flour
    6 eggs
    1 teaspoon each lemon, vanilla (not imitation) and butter flavoring
    1/2 teaspoon yellow food coloring

    Recipe



    Cream Crisco and sugar together. Add flour 1 cup at a time, mixing well after each cup. Add eggs 1 egg at a time beating well after each one. Add flavoring and food coloring. Mix well.
    Put in a greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 350 about 1 hour.
