Get the southern fried chicken flavor without the whole chicken!!
List of Ingredients
4 boneless chicken breast halves
1/2 cup water
1 large egg
1 teaspoon salt or to taste
2-3 dashes hot sauce (optional)Recipe
Slice chicken into strips and place in a bowl. Whisk water with egg, salt and hot sauce until evenly blended and pour over chicken. Toss to coat well, then cover and refrigerate at least 30 minutes.
Heat 1 inch of oil over a medium high setting. Place dry batter mix in a bag for shaking. Add chicken strips to the bag, 1-2 at a time and shake until thoroughly coated. Fry in a single layer until golden, turning once. Chicken should be fully white in the center.
