Deer Stalkers Pie

List of Ingredients
- 3 cups cooked deer (cubed)
- 4 slices bacon
- 2 carrots thinly sliced
- 1 cup english peas
- 1/4 teaspoon thyme
- 2-3 cups cooked mashed potatoes
- Gravy made from cooking deer meat
Instructions
- Cut up deer in small cubes and cook until done.
- Make gravy with the drippings from cooking the meat.
- Put cooked deer in 9 x 13 casserole dish.
- Fry bacon and crumble and add to deer cubes.
- In bacon fat, cook onions and carrots over medium heat until the onions are soft.
- Add to meat. Add Peas and thyme and gravy.
- Cover with mashed potatoes.
- Dot with butter.
- Bake at 425 degrees for 25-30 minutes until lightly brown.
