    Caramel Cobbler

    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
    • 1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
    • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
    • 3/4 cups milk
    • 1 tsp. vanilla
    • 2 cups brown sugar
    • 2 cups boiling water


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 350.


    2. Place butter in 13 x 9 inch baking dish and place in oven until melted.


    3. In large bowl whisk together flour, white sugar, milk and vanilla.


    4. Pour over melted butter. DO NOT STIR.


    5. Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over mixture. DO NOT STIR.


    6. Pour boiling water over brown sugar layer. DO NOT STIR.


    7. Bake for 30-40 minutes or until golden and bubbly.


    8. Serve warm.



    Final Comments


    Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
