Easy Peach Cobbler for a Crowd

- 1 - #10 can sliced peaches (drained)
- 42 slices of white bread (with crust cut off)
- 8 cups of white sugar
- 1 cup self rising flour
- 8 eggs (beaten)
- 4 cups melted margarine
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Place peaches into the bottom of a large buttered roaster pan.
- Cut each slice of bread into four strips and place over the peaches.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar, flour, egg and margarine.
- Pour over bread.
- Bake for 35 to 45 minutes or until center is done and it is golden brown.
- Cooking time may be longer because it is so large.
- You can make in two smaller pans and it will cook faster.
Final Comments
An electric knife works well for cutting the bread.
This is great use for stale bread.
