    Seasoned Crackers

    Source of Recipe

    Betty A Young

    List of Ingredients

    • 1 box (4 sleeves) saltine crackers
    • 1 1/4 cups canola oil
    • 2 tablespoons crushed red pepper
    • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
    • 1 package dry ranch dressing mix

    Instructions

    1. In a LARGE pan, stand all crackers on their edges.

    2. Mix all remaining ingredients in a small bowl.

    3. Pour the mixture over the crackers.

    4. Gently fold crackers over and over, scooping up the mixture in the bottom to coat cracker.

    5. Once you have them covered and there is no mixture standing in the bottom of the pan, divide in half.

    6. Place one half in a gallon zip lock bag. Do the same with the remaining half.

    7. Leave out on counter turn over 30 minutes for a while. Be careful not to break crackers but try to give them a shake when you turn them.

    Final Comments

These can be made days ahead. They longer they sit in this mixture, the better they are. Just keep the in a sealed container.
