    Basic Cheese Sauce

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 tbsp. butter
    • 2 tbsp. flour
    • 1 cup milk
    • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
    • salt and pepper to taste


    Instructions


    1. Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat.


    2. Whisk in flour and cook until the flour loses some of its white color.


    3. Slowly whisk in milk.


    4. Cook until the sauce thickens and add the cheese and seasoning.



    Final Comments


    If sauce is too thick, thin with additional milk.
