Easy Scalloped Potatoes

List of Ingredients
- 5 to 6 medium potatoes
- 1/4 cup margarine
- 3 tbsp. flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 small onion, chopped
- Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Peel & slice potatoes (keep in cool water to keep from turning brown).
- Melt butter in 3 qt. saucepan.
- Stir in flour.
- Slowly add milk, stirring constantly, adding more milk if too thick.
- When sauce reaches desired consistency, remove from heat.
- Add onion, salt and pepper to taste.
- In greased 2 qt. casserole dish or 13 x9 inch dish, alternate layers of potatoes and sauce, ending with the sauce.
- Cover and bake @ 350 degrees for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
Final Comments
Cheese can be sprinkled on the top after baking, if desired.
