    Biscuits Supreme

    I make these delicious biscuits with my Cider Stew


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 cups all purpose flour
    • 4 teaspoons baking powder
    • 2 teaspoons sugar
    • 1/2 teaspoons cream of tartar
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 2/3 cups milk
    • 1/2 cup shortening


    Instructions


    1. Stir together flour, baking powder, sugar, cream of tartar, and salt
    2. Cut in shortening till mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Make a well in the center; add milk all at once. Stir just till dough clings together.
    3. Knead gently on lightly floured surface for 10-12 strokes. Roll or pat to 1/2 inch thickness
    4. Cut with 2 1/2 inch biscuit cutter, dipping cutter in flour between biscuits. Bake in 45o Degree oven for 10-12 minutes or till golden.
