    Recipe Introduction

Great when you have leftover lima beans and chick peas from Shabbos.... This is a shortcut version of "geribene bundlach" since you dont have to soak and cook the beans from scratch.... delicous!

Note: I've seen the onions saute'd with liver instead of the franks... plain sauted onions works great too!

    List of Ingredients

    • 1 container cooked lima beans (golden taste)
    • 1 container cooked chick peas (golden taste)
    • 1 large onion
    • 2 franks
    • pepper
    • paprika

    Instructions

    1. Dice/chop onion into small peices. place in saute pan with a little bit of oil (not much because when you add the franks it releases fat too).
    2. Dice the franks (tic tac toe style - 2 slits each direction) and add to sauteing onions.
    3. Add a little pepper and red paprika and saute until deep golden. Stir every now and then so that it browns evenly and doesnt burn.
    4. In blender combine beans and approximately 1/4 hot water and blend/process until blended.
    5. When ready to serve place a heaping tbsp or two of bean mixture onto plate, top with a good tsp of sauted onions and franks and microwave to heat. Serve with soft rolls or crackers.
