    List of Ingredients


    • 5 lb. eye of round roast
    • garlic powder
    • 1/2 tsp. fennel seed
    • 2 cloves garlic - minced
    • 2 Tbls. worcestershire sauce
    • 1 tsp. dried marjoram
    • 1 tsp. oregano
    • 1 tsp. thyme
    • 1 tsp. salt
    • 1/2 tsp. pepper
    • a few drops of tabasco
    • onions (optional)
    • green bell peppers (optional)
    • mayo (optional)
    • provolone cheese (optional)


    Instructions


    1. Sprinkle roast with garlic powder. Brown in oil until seared on all sides. Set aside.
    2. In crockpot place 3 cups of boiling water, fennel seed, garlic, worcestershire sauce, marjoram, oregano, thyme, salt, pepper and a few drops of tabasco and mix.
    3. Place the roast in the crockpot.
    4. Simmer in crockpot for 7 hours on low. Afterward, thinly slice then place back in crock pot.
    5. Serve on toasted Italian bread or nice thick rolls with onions, green bell peppers, mayo and provolone cheese slices. Juice may be used for dipping.
