    List of Ingredients


    • 2 cups of flour
    • pinch of salt
    • 1 cup of shortening
    • 1/4 cup of water


    Instructions


    1. mix flour and salt in a bowl
    2. remove 1/3 cup of the mixture and set aside
    3. add the chilled shortening and use a pstry cuppter - incoporate until shortening and flour become pea sized - be patient (you can use a fork as well - may take a bit longer)
    4. use reserved 1/3cup of flour salt mixture - add 1/4 cup of water - mix together making a paste - using hands add paste to flour shortening mixture and work it just enough for paste to cover everything
    5. roll out the dough and then roll on to pin and transfer into pie tin
    6. add filling and bake!
