    List of Ingredients


    • 3 lb. chuck or rump roast
    • 2 tbsp oil
    • 2 medium onions, chopped
    • 1 tsp ginger
    • 1 tsp minced garlic
    • 1/4 cup soy sauce
    • 1/2 cup beef broth


    Instructions


    1. Heat oil in heavy pot. Brown roast on both sides. Remove to plate and set aside.
    2. Stir in onions and sauté to golden brown.
    3. Stir in ginger and garlic. Cook for a minute.
    4. Stir in soy and broth.
    5. Add meat, covering with some of the onions.
    6. Cover and bake at 325 degrees for about 2 1/2 hours, basting occasionally. (Can also be done in crock pot.)
    7. Make gravy as you usually would. (Makes the best gravy!)
