List of Ingredients
- 3 lb. chuck or rump roast
- 2 tbsp oil
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup beef broth
Instructions
- Heat oil in heavy pot. Brown roast on both sides. Remove to plate and set aside.
- Stir in onions and sauté to golden brown.
- Stir in ginger and garlic. Cook for a minute.
- Stir in soy and broth.
- Add meat, covering with some of the onions.
- Cover and bake at 325 degrees for about 2 1/2 hours, basting occasionally. (Can also be done in crock pot.)
- Make gravy as you usually would. (Makes the best gravy!)
