    Scalloped Oysters

    List of Ingredients




    1 1/2 pints shelled, undrained oysters-standard or small
    1 1/2 cups crushed Ritz Crackers
    1 stick butter, melted
    Juice of 1/2 lemon
    Salt and pepper to taste
    1/2 pint heavy cream
    1 tablespoon dry sherry
    Big dash Worcestershire Sauce

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 350 degrees

    Drain oysters; save 1/2 cup of liquid

    Combine crackers, butter, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Spread 1/3
    of this mixture over bottom of buttered dish.
    Arrange half of the oysters over crumbs. Sprinkle another
    third of crumbs over oysters and top with remaining oysters.

    Whisk cream, reserved oyster juice, sherry
    and Worcestershire Sauce together and
    pour over oysters. Top with remaining crumbs.

    Bake for 40 minutes. Don't overcook!! Serve immediately.
    Makes 6 servings (recipe can easily double or triple).

    Above can be put together a day before cooking
