Green Chili Stew
List of Ingredients
1 pound of stew meat
3-4 good sized baking potatoes, diced
3 - 5 fresh HOT green chiles or 2 small cans of chopped hot green chiles or 8oz of frozen chopped green chile.
1 - 3 cloves garlic (minced, pressed or chopped)
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of oregano or italian seasoning
1 teaspoon of flour
water

Recipe
Brown the meat a small portion at a time in a dutch oven or other large stew pot. Add the potatoes and enough water to cover with about a half an inch to inch over.
Add the green chile, garlic, seasoning or oregano and salt. Simmer for about an hour, adding more water as necessary. Use flour to thicken if necessary. Cook for another hour.
Serve in big bowls with lots of warm tortillas.
