    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
    1/3 c. flaked coconut
    2/3 c. brown sugar, packed
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/3 c. cocoa
    1-1/2 c. all-purpose flour

    Recipe



    In a 1-quart wide-mouth glass canning jar, layer first 6 ingredients in order listed; packing each layer down well. After adding cocoa wipe jar inside with a paper towel to remove any excess cocoa. Add flour.
    Cover filled jar with lid and tie on a gift card with these instructions: Cream together 2 eggs, 2/3 cup oil, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and 1 teaspoon almond extract. Stir in brownie mix and beat until well blended. Spread batter into an oiled 8x8x2-inch square baking dish. Bake at 350º for 30 to 40 minutes or until the center tests done. Cool on a wire rack.
    Makes about 1-1/2 dozen brownies.
