CHOCOLATE, MISSISSIPPI MUD CAKE
Recipe Introduction
(8" pan recipe in Brookfield Cookbook)
List of Ingredients
- 2 sticks oleo
- 2 C. sugar
- 11/2 C. sifted flour
- 1/2 C. cocoa
- 1 C. pecans
- dash salt
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 2 t. vanilla
- 1 jar marshmallow cream
- Icing:
- 1/2 stick oleo
- 1/2 C. cocoa
- 6 T. milk
- 1 lb. powdered sugar
Instructions
- Melt oleo and pour into big bowl.
- Add dry ingredients and nuts.
- Add eggs & vanilla. Mix well.
- Pour mixture into 9x13 pan. Bake 30 - 35 minutes at 350 degrees.
- Spread with marshmallow cream immediately after removing from oven.
- Icing:
- Melt oleo, add cocoa, milk and sugar. Beat and spread over marshmallow cream.
