    ANGEL CAKE, PETAL PINK

    Recipe Introduction


    Served at Angela's wedding shower.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 pkg. angel food cake mix
    • 3/4 t. almond extract
    • red food coloring
    • 1/4 C. sliced natural almonds
    • fresh strawberries


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

    2. Prepare cake batter. Fold in 1/2 t. almond extract.

    3. Place 3 C. batter in medium bowl. Fold in 3 drops red food coloring.

    4. Spoon half the white batter into ungreased 10-inch tube pan.

    5. Cover with pink batter then top with remaining white batter.

    6. Bake and cool cake following package directions.

    7. Frosting:

    8. 9 oz container frozen whipped topping, thawed.

    9. Fold in 1/4 t.almond extract and 3 drops red food coloring.

    10. Stir lightly until blended. Frost cake. Garnish with almonds and raspberries.
