    OLD FASHIONED BUTTER COOKIES

    Roll out cookies


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 C. butter
    • 2 C. sugar
    • 1 t. vanilla
    • 3 eggs, well beaten
    • 4 C. sifted flour
    • 1/2 t. salt


    Instructions


    1. Cream butter; add sugar and vanilla; continue creaming until light. Beat eggs; add to butter mixture and blend. Add flour and salt, using more flour if necessary to make a stiff dough.

    2. Chill 20 to 30 minutes (or longer), Roll out to ¼ inch thickness. Cut with cookie cutters. Bake 400degrees about 8 to 10 minutes.

    3. Made 18 with a 2 pound peanut butter jar lid.
