OLD FASHIONED BUTTER COOKIES

List of Ingredients
- 1 C. butter
- 2 C. sugar
- 1 t. vanilla
- 3 eggs, well beaten
- 4 C. sifted flour
- 1/2 t. salt
Instructions
- Cream butter; add sugar and vanilla; continue creaming until light. Beat eggs; add to butter mixture and blend. Add flour and salt, using more flour if necessary to make a stiff dough.
- Chill 20 to 30 minutes (or longer), Roll out to ¼ inch thickness. Cut with cookie cutters. Bake 400degrees about 8 to 10 minutes.
- Made 18 with a 2 pound peanut butter jar lid.
