    • 2 C. water
    • 3 T. cornstarch
    • 1 C. sugar
    • 1/2 t. nutmeg


    Instructions


    1. Mix all ingredients.
    2. Cook over medium heat, stirring often, until thickened.
    3. Drained can fruit may be added to the sauce for different flavor or texture.


    Final Comments


    Serve over spice cake, pound cake, bread pudding or rice pudding.
