    CHEESE SOUP


    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 pkg. frozen hash browns
    • 3 C. water
    • 1 C. each celery, carrots, chopped or sliced
    • 1/2 C. chopped onion
    • 1/2 t. salt, dash of pepper
    • 1 t. parsley flakes
    • 2 chicken bouillon cubes
    • 1 1/2 C. milk
    • 2 T. flour
    • 1 small can mushroom pieces (optional)
    • 1/2 lb. velveeta cubes or 1/2 lb. cheddar cheese


    Instructions


    1. Combine potatoes, water, celery, carrots, onion, parsley flakes, seasonings and bouillon cubes.
    2. Cook in crock pot until vegetables are tender.
    3. If in a hurry, cook on stove for 15 - 20 minutes and then put in crock pot.
    4. Gradually add milk to flour until well blended.
    5. Add to vegetables. Cook until thickened.
    6. Add cheese, mushroom pieces.
    7. Stir occasionally until cheese is melted.
    8. Turn on low and keep in hot crock pot.
