CHEESE SOUP
List of Ingredients
- 1/2 pkg. frozen hash browns
- 3 C. water
- 1 C. each celery, carrots, chopped or sliced
- 1/2 C. chopped onion
- 1/2 t. salt, dash of pepper
- 1 t. parsley flakes
- 2 chicken bouillon cubes
- 1 1/2 C. milk
- 2 T. flour
- 1 small can mushroom pieces (optional)
- 1/2 lb. velveeta cubes or 1/2 lb. cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Combine potatoes, water, celery, carrots, onion, parsley flakes, seasonings and bouillon cubes.
- Cook in crock pot until vegetables are tender.
- If in a hurry, cook on stove for 15 - 20 minutes and then put in crock pot.
- Gradually add milk to flour until well blended.
- Add to vegetables. Cook until thickened.
- Add cheese, mushroom pieces.
- Stir occasionally until cheese is melted.
- Turn on low and keep in hot crock pot.
