    CHICKEN WILD RICE CHOWDER

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 C. sliced fresh carrots
    • 1/2 C. chopped onion
    • 1/2 C. chopped celery
    • 2 T. butter
    • 3 T. flour
    • 2 cans (14 1/2 oz each) chicken broth
    • 2 2/3 C. cubed cooked chicken breast
    • 1 pkg. (8.8 oz) ready-to-serve long grain and wild rice
    • 1/4 C. half and half cream
    • 1/8 t. pepper


    Instructions


    1. Saute carrots, onion and celery in butter until tender. Start carrots first and then add onion and celery.

    2. Stir in flour until blended.

    3. Gradually add broth.

    4. Bring to a boil and cook, stir to 2 minutes or until thickened.

    5. Stir in chicken, rice, cream and pepper.

    6. Heat through.
