    When Kathy first made this it really got our attention!
    Smells great cooking, and tastes even better!

    List of Ingredients




    2 chickens, cut up
    3 T. butter
    1/4 cup flour
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp pepper 1/4 tsp thyme
    4 green onions
    1/4 lb. mushrooms
    2 T. lemon juice
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp salt
    1/3 cup apple juice
    2 medium tomatoes, or canned

    Recipe



    Brown chicken after dredging it in spices. Add onions and mushrooms. Cover and simmer 3 minutes. Mix lemon juice, sugar, salt and apple juice. Pour over chicken. Cover and simmer 5 minutes. Add tomatoes. Cook slowly over low heat about 30 minutes or till tender.
    Serve over rice...this makes great sauce!
