    Onion Dip


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 large onions (not red)
    • 1/4 cup butter
    • 1/4 cup olive oil
    • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 1/2 tsp black pepper
    • few sprinkles of Franks Red Hot Sauce
    • 4 oz cream cheese
    • 1/2 cup sour cream
    • 1/2 cup mayonnaise


    Instructions


    1. Thinly slice onions and cut in half - about 3 cups
    2. Over medium heat, melt butter and oil in frying pan and add onions, spices.
    3. Saute 10 minutes, reduce heat to medium-low and continue to cook, stirring occasionally for 20 more minutes - onions will be brown and caramelized. Cool.
    4. Mix cream cheese, sour cream and mayo with mixer until smooth.
    5. Add onions and hot sauce and mix well.
    6. Serve at room temp with crackers, veggies, chips.
