Waikiki Meatballs

Recipe Introduction
Can make this on the stove quickly and add to a crockpot to keep warm. Can also make your own meatballs if you're inspired, but i usually buy Presidents Choice Italian meatballs.
List of Ingredients
- 1 large can pineapple tidbits
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/3 cup white vinegar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- Optional - green peppers in chunks
Instructions
- Drain juice from pineapple into saucepan. Reserve a bit of juice to dissolve cornstarch later.
- Combine sugar, vinegar and soy sauce.
- bring to boil.
- Thicken sauce with 2 tbsp cornstarch - dissolve in pineapple juice before adding to sauce if desired.
- Add peppers if desired.
- Add meatballs and pineapple(approx 1 pound of meatballs - normally i double this and add 1kg meatballs. Sometimes I add extra pineapple juice and adjust the rest of the ingredients for extra sauce)
- Heat until meatballs are warmed through. Serve over rice or put in crockpot on low.
